About Jazzawa and his Work

Jazzawa is the artist name of Ignace Dedeene who lives and works in Ghent, Belgium. He has his own practice as an antroposophic psychologist (www.de-vrije-mens.be). Besides his professional activities he writes and makes digital art. In 2017 he published his first book ‘Jazzawa’s Abalam’. The book can be ordered online at Book Scout and different distributors. Late 2025, a second book is expected.

His digital art starts from photographs and drawings. Every photo and drawing is made by himself. For the composition and additional elements he uses Procreate and Photoshop. The final artwork is printed in high resolution by a professional inkjet printer on RAG-paper. This results in an excellent definition and bright colors. Depending on the content and the colors, the artwork is fixed on dibond and gets a protection layer, or it is placed in a wooden frame with artglass and a passe-partout. Twelve copies of each work are printed. The number of the copy is printed on the artwork, accompanied by a certificate.
